Our Story
From small farms in Sri Lanka to your kitchen
EcoEcho Ethical is a Canadian-owned brand from Toronto, Ontario. We bring certified organic spices, Ceylon teas, coconut and heirloom rice directly from small farmer groups, so you know exactly where your food comes from.
Where your spices grow
- Ceylon cinnamon – Sri Lanka, true cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum), gentle and sweet
- Black and white pepper – Sri Lanka (Piper nigrum), bold, piney heat
- Cloves and nutmeg – Sri Lanka, rich in aromatic oils
- Thai bird’s eye chili – Sri Lanka, very hot (50,000–100,000 Scoville)
- Ceylon teas – black and green teas from the Uva highlands and the Kandy region
- Heirloom rice – Sri Lankan Kurulu Thuda red rice and Suwandel white rice
- Green cardamom – small farmer groups in Guatemala
Grown with biodiversity
Our producer partners farm in mixed, biodiverse plots rather than single-crop plantations. Spices grow alongside trees, fruit and other crops, which keeps soil healthy and gives each harvest its character.
Traceable, lot by lot
- Certified organic under Canada Organic (COR) and USDA-NOP by accredited certification bodies
- Every product lot tested by an independent third-party laboratory
- Producer partners selected and audited for supply-chain integrity
- We work directly with our producers – no anonymous middle steps
